White House Has Asked YouTube To Review Anti-Islam Film
The White House has asked YouTube to review the anti-Islam film, Innocence of Muslims — which many have said sparked the recent protests and attacks in the Middle East — to determine whether it violates the site’s terms.
The attacks in Egypt and Libya in particular have garnered significant attention, with the latter resulting in the death of four Americans, including that of the United States’ ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens.
Per the Washington Post:
As of the time this post was written, the video is still available on YouTube.
Both President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney have denounced the film — with the latter calling it “dispiriting,” “awful,” and “a terrible idea” on Friday.
